In my experience, you either love it or hate it. What am I talking about? Supermarket Shopping. Finding the right system for your household can be very overwhelming. And once you figure out a strategy, executing your plan can have its own limitations. Whether you shop online or in person, going into a supermarket with an agenda makes roaming the isles much easier. Below are a few tips to help navigate the busy shelves:
- Make a list—meal plan for a few days and keep track of those items you have finished and need to replace. I like to use the note section of my phone – this way I can share my note with other household members and they can add requested items to the list.
- Pick which days of the week you will visit supermarkets – this way you will not be overwhelmed with huge shopping trips. I recommend picking 2 days each week.
- Take a photo of your fridge and pantry before you leave – it is an easy reminder of what you already have in stock .
- Rotate the supermarkets you visit – in my experience one place does not have everything.
