Fruits and Veggies: Easy ways to add more to your diet

With farmer’s markets and fresh produce around during the summer, it’s much easier to eat lots of fruits and veggies. In order to stay healthy, it’s important to eat them all year round.

Here are some great tips to help you include more fruits and vegetables in your diet.

Half your plate: Remember to fill half of your plate with fruits and vegetables at every meal

Add more: Why not add more fruits or vegetables to a recipe that calls for or already contains fruits and vegetables

Stay stocked: It’s always good to stock up on frozen and canned fruits and veggies for meal prep. Remember to go for canned fruits and vegetables with no added sugar, syrup or cream sauces that will give you unwanted additional calories.

Grab & Go: Always have fresh fruits and vegetables in easy-to-grab places (in a fruit bowl or sliced in the fridge and ready to eat)
